Google: The Site Reputation Abuse Policy Enforcement Not Yet Algorithmic

Google has reiterated that it still uses manual processes rather than algorithms to enforce its site reputation abuse policy. Yesterday, Danny Sullivan, the Search Liaison at Google, stated on X, "We have not gone live with algorithmic actions on-site reputation abuse."

"When we do, we'll be very clear about that," Sullivan continued. In other words, Google will make an announcement when it begins to deploy algorithmic methods to enforce the site reputation abuse policy. Most likely on the page where the search is live.

Google Search Can Now Index Electronic Publication (EPUB)

Google Search can now index Electronic Publications, the .epub, and file type. Google added EPUB as a supported file type to the file types indexable by Google help documentation.

Guide to Google Analytics 4 attribution

Understand how attribution in GA4 works – session, user, and event scopes, modelled and blended data, and much more. GA4 offers a wider availability of different attribution models, but it depends on the scope of the report – whether it is the user acquisition source, session source or event source.

In 2024, Google modified the terminology in Analytics, and what were previously known as conversions are now called key events. The term “conversion” in Google Analytics will be reserved for Google Ads conversions imported from Google Ads.
