The ability to receive push alerts from Twitter anytime a user's tweets match a certain search query may become available in the near future.

The "Search Subscribe" feature on Twitter goes by this name.

Twitter hasn't said whether or when the feature would be made available to users. Dylan Rousse, an Android developer, discovered it in the most recent beta version of the Twitter mobile app.

How it operates

A bell icon is displayed next to the search field when you conduct a search in the Twitter app. You're subscribed to receive push notifications for Tweets about [insert your search term here] when you tap that bell, according to the notice that appears.


Comparable to TweetDeck

You have the choice to add a column in TweetDeck, which is also owned by Twitter. A column type is "Search". Therefore, if you type "SEO" into the search bar, any tweet that matches "SEO" will appear in that column. Alternatively, you can sort those results by author, interaction level, and location.
