TLDR

Google Search Console now provides performance data for the content appearing in Google News...

A new report in Google Search Console will help news publishers more accurately measure the performance of their content.

Site owners can access the new performance report by logging into Search Console and selecting Google News from the left-hand navigation menu.

The report contains metrics such as impressions, clicks, and click-through rate, and is similar to other Search Console reports (CTR). Data can be categorized by country, device, and date.

The Google News report in Search Console can be used to determine how many times a website's articles were shown to users in Google News and how many times those articles were clicked on.

This specific set of data could not previously be isolated, making this a significant update for publishers.

For any site that appears in Google News, this report is now available in Search Console. If you do not see this report for your site, it is most likely because your articles do not appear frequently in Google News.

Publishers used to have to submit their sites to be considered for inclusion in the Google News app and website, but that is no longer the case.

According to the company, "all publishers are automatically considered for Google News; they simply need to produce high-quality content and comply with Google News content policies."

Publishers who want to improve their performance in Google News should join the Google Publisher Center. This is not required to appear in Google News, but it does provide a number of advantages, which I'll discuss in the following section. Stories are directly listed for indexing for the Google Discover Feature in the Hocalwire CMS editor's indexing features. The same is enabled by default for all tales, and the settings may be frequently repeated.

Publisher Center can help you improve your Google News performance.

Now that you can more accurately analyze your Google News performance, it's time to look at ways to improve it month after month.

Signing up for Google Publisher Center is one way to do so. Publisher Center is a tool that allows websites to submit RSS feeds, website URLs, or videos to Google News directly.

Google will discover your news content through standard web crawling, so there is no need to submit it directly. Publisher Center provides greater control over how content appears, which may improve performance. Hocalwire CMS includes fantastic automation features that help traffic from various sources focus on your website. You may drastically increase your traffic with the aid of Google Analytics and potential choices with Hocalwire.

Publisher Center's key advantages include:

Control over content and branding: In Google News, you can design, brand, and customize the sections and content of your publication.

Monetization: In the Google News app, place ads within your content area. Ad serving via Google Ad Manager, including premium solution ads, is supported by the app.

Eligibility for the newsstand: Publications containing business terms are eligible for inclusion in the Google News app's Newsstand section in applicable countries/regions.

It should be noted that submitting a feed via Publisher Center does not guarantee that content will be surfaced in Google News, nor does it improve a site's ranking in Google News.

To concentrate on producing high-quality content and expanding your revenue opportunities, you need to understand how we create technically sound websites that take care of the SEO and indexing requirements. If you're searching for one, schedule a demo of Hocalwire CMS by booking a time.
