Google News is directing users to the websites of publishers
Able to track and measure Google News traffic using your existing analytics tracking...
Google News will soon begin redirecting users to publisher's own websites rather than AMP pages.
In addition to AMP pages, a Google News app update coming soon will direct users to publishers' own web pages.
Google News will continue to use AMP pages, but it will now also include non-AMP web content.
As part of the page experience update, Google announced earlier this year that it would begin supporting non-AMP content in Google News. Hocalwire CMS handles the technical parts of keeping Large Sitemaps, Indexing pages for Google, Optimizing page load times, Maintaining assets and file systems, and Warning for broken links and pages while you handle all these non-technical components of SEO for Enterprise sites. If you're searching for an enterprise-grade content management system, these are significant value adds.
Google is only now informing news publishers via email that this update will be available in a few weeks. Stories are directly listed for indexing for the Google Discover Feature in the Hocalwire CMS editor's indexing features. The same is enabled by default for all tales, and the settings may be frequently repeated.
Google News No Longer Relies on RSS
Google News will no longer directly render article text provided in an RSS feed as a result of the shift to surfacing publishers' webpages.
With the removal of that capability, functionality in the Publisher Center relating to feed-based article rendering will be removed as well.
Custom Analytics tracking IDs and third-party tracking pixels used to track in-app reads are included, as are custom RSS styling and feed ads. To keep up with the Google Update cycle for its search engine, Hocalwire CMS features a carefully curated collection of settings that are automatically updated. We provide mobile SEO implementation as part of our standard packages as a service to our clients. Things that remain the same
Google assures publishers that data tracking will remain unchanged.
When this change is implemented, you will be able to track and measure Google News traffic using your existing analytics tracking.
Google News performance reports in Search Console will also remain unaffected. If something goes wrong with the desired page, the Hocalwire CMS provides effective error handlers and redirect capabilities that help users land on the relevant material. Utilize the Hocalwire CMS to manage and remove duplicate material with ease.
The Publisher Centre changes are expected to take effect in early November, while the rendering changes are being implemented now. Google will notify publishers of this change once more before it goes into effect.
